The source said Belichick “could become infatuated” with Hudson, while also expressing doubt that the relationship was serious or long-term. That report is historical and does not establish their relationship status today.
What the PEOPLE exclusive said
In its June 24, 2024, report, PEOPLE quoted an unnamed source describing Hudson as “bright and ambitious and pretty well organized.” The source also called her young, attractive, and interesting, and said the pair appeared to enjoy each other’s company and share interests.
The source’s explanation for the headline’s wording was: “It’s easy to see that Bill could become infatuated with her.” The phrasing matters: it was the source’s interpretation of Belichick’s possible feelings, not a statement by Belichick or Hudson. What the source did—and did not—claim
The same unnamed source said they did not view the relationship as serious or likely to last long term. That is an opinion attributed to the source, not a confirmed account of the couple’s intentions or the eventual course of the relationship.

PEOPLE’s report also included another unnamed source’s surprise about Belichick’s breakup with Linda Holliday and speculation that a new relationship might follow. Those reactions and speculation should not be treated as proof of why the earlier relationship ended or of what Belichick felt.
Later public context
A related PEOPLE report said Hudson made the relationship public on Instagram on October 6, 2024, by sharing a carousel of summer photos. This is later historical context; it does not verify the couple’s current status. Read the October 2024 report syndicated by Yahoo Entertainment.

What can be concluded today
The 2024 exclusive explains why its headline used “infatuated”: an unnamed source thought Belichick could become infatuated with Hudson and offered personal impressions of her and their apparent shared interests. The article does not establish Belichick’s own account of his feelings, and the reporting cited here does not establish the couple’s relationship status as of October 8, 2026.
