The examples below distinguish those settings and identify when a claim comes from a roundup or venue publicity rather than direct event reporting. Ed Sheeran surprised a couple in Las Vegas
In September 2023, Ed Sheeran surprised a couple marrying at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas with “Magical.” CBS News reported that, in a CBS Mornings interview, Sheeran said his team had checked that the couple were fans. Country singer-songwriter Jerrod Niemann surprised a couple on April Fool’s Day in 2017 with a private acoustic performance of “God Made a Woman,” according to press material from the Chapel of the Flowers. Florence + the Machine reportedly played a first-dance song
A wedding-planning feature describes a St Tropez wedding where Florence + the Machine sang “You’ve Got the Love” for the couple’s first dance. The same account says James Corden served as master of ceremonies; it does not describe him as a musical performer. Brides

Performances at pre-wedding celebrations and wedding parties
Lana Del Rey sang at a Versailles pre-wedding celebration
Lana Del Rey performed for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West at their pre-wedding celebration at the Palace of Versailles on May 23, 2014. ABC News reported that Del Rey said she performed for free and rejected a reported $2.8 million figure. That amount is not a verified fee, and the event was a pre-wedding celebration—not the wedding ceremony. ABC News
Beyoncé and Chris Martin are named in a roundup
A Times of India roundup reports that Beyoncé performed at Isha Ambani’s wedding, including a cover of “Perfect.” The same roundup says Coldplay frontman Chris Martin performed at Akash Ambani’s wedding party in Switzerland, but its reviewed account offers few event details. These claims should be treated as reports from that roundup, not as equally detailed, independently established accounts. The Times of India

Other private wedding performances reported in a roundup
The same Times of India roundup also reports these performances, without identifying the couple or providing much detail for some events:
- Jennifer Lopez: a live performance at a private Beverly Hills wedding; the couple is not named in the reviewed account.
- Ellie Goulding: a performance at the private wedding party of Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales. The roundup reports that she sang “Your Song” for their first dance; that specific song detail remains qualified as reported.
- Mariah Carey and Elton John: performances at a London wedding for the granddaughter of a Russian billionaire. The roundup does not identify the family or provide further performance details.
These are leads with uneven detail, not a basis for filling in identities or circumstances by inference. The Times of India

A real wedding incorporated into a public performance
Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga were part of a Super Bowl wedding
Sky News reported that a real couple married during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show in February 2026, and that Lady Gaga sang to the newlyweds. Bad Bunny served as a witness and signed their certificate. This was a public show incorporating a ceremony, rather than a conventional private wedding booking. Sky News

- Attendance or ceremony role: being a guest, witness, or officiant is not the same as giving a musical performance.
For example, Chapel of the Flowers says NHL player Ryan Reaves performed a vow-renewal ceremony for a contest-winning couple in 2019. That is a celebrity’s participation in a ceremony, not a musical act, so it belongs in a different category. Chapel of the Flowers
