What official sources confirm about Avengers: Doomsday
Several official points can be stated without qualification as of October 2026:

- Release date. Disney’s U.S. film page lists Avengers: Doomsday for December 18, 2026. The page links to official trailer material. The page was checked on October 8, 2026, so the listing should be treated as current only as of that date.
- Release date in the UK. Disney UK’s page also lists December 18, 2026. It describes heroes from three distinct universes being brought into conflict and lists a cast. That description is Disney’s own promotional framing, not a verified account of the full plot.
- Official trailer and poster. A Disney UK press release dated July 20, 2026 states that a new trailer and poster were available. This confirms official marketing material, but it says nothing about any separate leaked footage.
Why the leaked trailer cannot yet be called real
The headline’s phrase “now proven real” goes beyond the evidence. Marvel and Disney releasing their own trailers does not validate unrelated footage that appeared elsewhere. Authenticating a leak requires at least three things that are not documented here:
- A specific, identifiable source for the footage, such as the article, account or file it came from.
- A statement from Marvel, Disney or a named party confirming that the footage is from the production.
- Some indication of how much of the footage reflects the final film, since test material, rough cuts and edited clips can differ substantially from a release version.
None of these were found in reliable sources for this article. Without them, the clip should be described as unverified, not proven. Note also that no attributable quotation from Marvel, Disney or a named person about the alleged leak has been established, so no official position on it should be assumed in either direction.

What Marvel has confirmed about the next Avengers films
Marvel’s official 2024 announcement named Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars as upcoming Avengers titles and identified Anthony and Joe Russo as directors. That announcement is the most direct official statement on the slate in the sources examined.
The phrase “the next three” does not match that announcement. Only two titles are confirmed by it. A third film would need its own official announcement, and none was found. Speculation about a third film should be treated as speculation, not as a studio announcement.

How to separate official footage from leaked clips
- Check Marvel Studios’ and Disney’s own channels and press releases. If the clip is not there, it has not been released officially.
- Look for a dated official release. The July 20, 2026 Disney UK press release is an example of a dated, attributable official announcement.
- Ask who is making the claim of authenticity. A headline or social post asserting that footage is real is not the same as a studio statement.
- Separate what is visible from what is inferred. A clip may show a costume or setting that fans read as a plot clue. The clue is an inference unless an official source confirms it.
- Treat any claim about unannounced films as speculation until an official announcement names the title.
