The sources available for this article do not identify the cast of the exclusive this headline refers to, so this page does not name contestants, backgrounds or quotes. What can be confirmed is what Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing is, when it was announced to premiere, and why cast lists from other seasons should not be taken as this one’s lineup.
What Last One Standing is
Last One Standing is a head-to-head competition within the Naked and Afraid survival franchise on Discovery. A spring 2023 schedule guide from Reality Blurred described it as a grueling, multiphase survival challenge in which contestants could use “any means necessary – even sabotage” to pursue the grand prize. That guide is secondary reporting, not the original press release. It says quoted descriptions come from network press releases, show websites or other official materials, and it names no individual speaker. The wording should therefore be read as program language, not an interview with a contestant or producer.

The announced premiere date
The same guide listed the Discovery Channel premiere for May 7, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. That is the date announced in 2023 scheduling coverage, not a current broadcast listing. Check current local listings before relying on any airtime.

Who is in the new cast?
The exclusive this headline points to could not be located in the sources used here, so its contestant names, their survival experience and any statements from them remain unconfirmed. A cast list should be treated as verified only when it meets these checks:
- It is tied to a dated, official announcement or to an original exclusive from a named outlet, not to an unattributed roundup.
- It states the season it covers, so it cannot be confused with later-season coverage.
- Any claim of prior Naked and Afraid appearances or survival background can be traced to the show’s own materials or a named source.
Later-season coverage: what it does and does not cover
A July 15, 2024 report from The Direct covered season two. It listed 14 survivalists, an African setting, a $100,000 prize and a July 14 premiere date for that season. Those figures belong to season two only. They do not identify the new cast in this headline and should not be read as its lineup.
