That is a past broadcast date, not an upcoming one. ITV’s programme information lists the launch as a 90-minute episode running 9:00 to 10:30pm, and ITV’s press pack says it was simulcast on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX, with STV and STV Player also listed. Later episodes continued on ITV2 and ITVX. Australian viewers had a separate date: Nine announced that the season would stream on 9Now from Wednesday, 5 June 2024, at 6:00pm AEST.
UK premiere: date, time and channels
The UK launch was on Monday 3 June 2024. The opening episode started at 9pm UK time and was scheduled to run until 10:30pm. Because the year matters when the title says “When To Watch,” the article uses 2024 throughout, and every time below is UK local time unless labelled otherwise.

The ITV programme page describes the premiere as airing on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX, with subsequent episodes continuing on ITV2 and ITVX. Those are the services named for 2024; they are not a permanent statement about where the show sits today.

Why the UK and Australian dates differ
Australia did not follow the UK broadcast. Nine’s release was two days after the UK premiere and was built around its own streaming service. If you are searching from Australia, use the 5 June 2024, 6:00pm AEST date. Do not convert the UK 9:00pm time into Australian time, because the two releases were scheduled separately.

Checking whether a season is available where you live
Regional access changes over time, so a 2024 schedule cannot tell you what is available today. Before you plan a viewing, check the following:
- Confirm the service named by the broadcaster or streamer for your country. For the UK, that was ITV1, ITV2, ITVX, STV or STV Player in 2024; for Australia, it was 9Now.
- Check the catalogue page on that service directly, rather than relying on an older article or a social post.
- Note that a catalogue listing does not confirm that the episodes can be played in your location.
We could not establish a current, country-by-country list of where the season can be streamed, so none is given here.

Series background: location, host and production
Season 11 was set in a summer villa in Mallorca, Spain. Maya Jama hosted. Nine’s Australian release also names Iain Stirling as narrator. ITV’s press pack names Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, and GroupM Motion Entertainment as production partners. It says the series is co-owned by ITV Studios and GroupM Motion Entertainment and is distributed internationally by ITV Studios.
The prize listed in ITV’s programme information was £50,000. Nine’s Australian release paired that amount with an approximate A$90,000 conversion. For a UK reader, use the pound figure. The Australian conversion was an approximation at the time of the 2024 announcement and is not a current exchange-rate calculation.

Prior-series figures in ITV’s press pack
ITV’s 27 May 2024 press pack included audience and engagement figures, but they describe the previous series, not Season 11. They are ITV’s own promotional claims and their measurement method is not described in the press pack:
- Over 3 million viewers for the previous series’ launch episode across all devices.
- 1.4 billion video views across all platforms.
- More than 56 million likes on official Love Island content.
- More than 1 million comments on official Love Island content.
- ITV said the previous series final was the most-watched programme for 16 to 34-year-olds on any channel. The press pack gives no numeric audience figure for that claim.
