Filming for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 began on October 3, 2022, at Bray Studios outside London, according to contemporaneous reporting. When and where did filming start?
A report from The Hollywood Reporter, syndicated by Yahoo, said production got underway on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Bray Studios just outside London. TIME had reported before filming began that production was scheduled to start in October. Contemporaneous reporting on the start
Amazon’s later confirmation supports the year and location: it identified Bray Film Studio as the Season 2 production home since 2022. Amazon also described the season as in production in the UK. These details establish Bray as a production home and the reported starting location; they do not establish that every scene was filmed there.
