Recommended Free Tools
Swiftle is a free, browser-based Taylor Swift song guessing game. You listen to a short audio clip and try to name the song in six tries, with the clip lengthening after each guess. The version described here is the one run by Techyonic at https://www.techyonic.co/games/swiftle. Several other sites also use the Swiftle name, so check the web address before you start.
What Swiftle is
Swiftle belongs to the family of daily-style word and music puzzles that popularised Wordle and Heardle, but its answer is a Taylor Swift song title and its clue is sound rather than letters. The Techyonic page describes it as a Taylor Swift song guessing game, credits Sparsh Tyagi as its creator, and says it is free, has no ads and requires no signup.
The separate Swiftle About page, at https://www.swiftle.net/about.html, traces the idea to a T-shirt seen at The Eras Tour that displayed song lyrics with each word reduced to its first letter. That page describes the project as a work in progress. Neither page states a publication year, so the age of the description is unknown.
The operator’s own description of the core task is: “Listen to the clip and guess the Taylor Swift song in 6 tries.” That sentence comes from the Techyonic Swiftle game page and is not attributed to a named person.

How to play the main game
- Open the Techyonic Swiftle page at https://www.techyonic.co/games/swiftle. No account or signup is required.
- Start the audio clip. It begins at one second long.
- Submit your guess for the song title.
- If the guess is wrong, another second of audio is unlocked. Listen again and guess again.
- You have six tries in total to identify the song.
How the clip grows
The clip starts at one second, and one more second is unlocked after each guess. The operator page does not publish a per-try schedule beyond that rule, so the exact length of the clip on any given try should be treated as a consequence of this rule rather than a listed table.
Where the clip comes from
The clip can come from any part of the song. Do not assume that every puzzle starts with an intro or the opening lyric. Because the clip is drawn from different points, a short early clip can be harder to place than it looks.
Extra modes
The Techyonic FAQ lists four modes beyond the main game. The operator page does not give further detail on how these modes are scored or how many puzzles each one contains.
| Mode | What you do | Details stated by the operator |
|---|---|---|
| Archive | Revisit past games | Lets players return to earlier puzzles. |
| Rapid | Identify the song from a clip | Uses a 13-second clip and a timer; players try to build a streak. |
| Lyrics | Identify the song from displayed lyrics | Lyrics are shown and you name the song. |
| Blank Space | Fill in missing lyrics | You supply the words that are missing from a lyric. |
The 13-second clip length in Rapid mode is the only numeric detail for the extra modes the operator gives. The operator page does not state a publication date for this FAQ.
Access and what you need
- Cost: free, according to the Techyonic page.
- Ads: none, according to the same page.
- Account: no signup is required.
- Equipment: the operator page does not identify any special equipment requirement. Because the game is built on audio clips, a device with working sound is the practical requirement, and headphones help with the shortest clips.
How Swiftle compares with Wordle and Heardle
Swiftle takes its format from word and song-clip puzzles, but the rules differ in a few ways that matter when you play:
- Answer type: a song title, not a word.
- Clue: an audio clip that grows, not a grid of letters or a single clip.
- Attempts: six tries.
- Extra modes: Archive, Rapid, Lyrics and Blank Space on the Techyonic version.
The Swiftle name’s inspiration from word and music puzzles is clear from the description, but no shared ownership, licence or endorsement with Wordle, Heardle or Taylor Swift is established by the operator’s page or the About page. Treat similarity of play as similarity only.

Other sites using the Swiftle name
Search results also surface other pages that use the Swiftle name. Two third-party listings are https://heardlewordle.io/swiftle, which describes similar rules, and https://dlegames.org/game/swiftle. Those pages should not be treated as describing the Techyonic game. Their rules may differ, and this article does not establish whether they share ownership with Techyonic or whether each remains active.
