Sarah Ferguson was reported in August 2026 to be planning a return to England and renting a six-bedroom gated property in the Home Counties. But the reports did not confirm that she had moved in, and they did not identify the town or address. As of October 8, 2026, her current residence remains unconfirmed in the reporting available.

What is known about Ferguson’s reported next home

On August 29, 2026, The Guardian reported that Ferguson was renting a six-bedroom gated property in England’s Home Counties and could move in imminently. It attributed those details to The Sun. The Independent reported the same account, also attributing it to The Sun, and said her belongings had been collected from Andrew’s Sandringham home.

These accounts describe a reported plan, not a confirmed move. Neither publication independently confirmed that Ferguson took up residence at the rental. The reports give no town, street address or tenancy start date.

Why the Royal Lodge move does not establish where Ferguson lives

On October 31, 2025, Buckingham Palace announced that formal notice had been served for Andrew to surrender the Royal Lodge lease. The Palace said: “Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.” The pronoun “he” referred to Andrew; the statement did not name a future home for Ferguson or say she would move with him. The Palace statement addressed Andrew’s lease.

In November 2025, ABC News Australia reported that Ferguson was also expected to leave Royal Lodge and make her own living arrangements. That was a separate report about her departure, not confirmation of a destination. ABC News Australia’s report did not establish where she would live afterward.

Andrew’s reported residences are separate from Ferguson’s

ABC News reported on February 4, 2026, that Andrew had moved out of Royal Lodge and was living on the Sandringham estate. That confirms Andrew’s reported move, not that Ferguson moved with him. ABC News’s report concerned Andrew’s residence.

The Guardian also reported that Ferguson had spent time at a chalet in Verbier, Switzerland, before describing the Home Counties rental account. A stay in Verbier does not identify her subsequent or current home. The latest report in the sources reviewed, published by Marie Claire on October 7, 2026, summarized a Times report that Andrew was at Sandringham without Ferguson; it did not say where she was living. Marie Claire’s report therefore does not confirm her address or move-in status.

What remains unconfirmed

  • Whether Ferguson has moved into the reported Home Counties rental.
  • The property’s town, street address and tenancy start date.
  • Where Ferguson is living now.

The most specific public account identifies a six-bedroom gated rental in the Home Counties, but its details remain attributed reporting rather than confirmed occupancy. Andrew’s move to Sandringham does not answer the separate question of Ferguson’s residence.
