Justin Bieber confronted photographers outside a coffee shop in the Palm Springs area on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, days before Coachella weekend. After one photographer greeted him, Bieber objected to their presence and accused them of caring more about money than people.
What did Justin Bieber say to the photographers?
Accounts of the video say the exchange began when a photographer told Bieber, “Good morning.” Bieber responded, “No! Not good morning! You already know. Why are you here?” PerthNow quoted his next accusation: “That’s all you want. You don’t care about people. Only money. You don’t care about human beings.” (PerthNow; TMZ)
The reports describe several photographers—PerthNow and TMZ put the number at about four—near the café entrance. They say Bieber challenged their presence and filming before going into the café. The outlets describe the encounter in different terms, but the reported sequence is a greeting, Bieber’s objection, and his criticism of the photographers’ motives. Neither report names the coffee shop.
Why was Bieber in Palm Springs before Coachella?
The confrontation happened shortly before the 2025 Coachella festival weekend. Teen Vogue reported that Bieber was in Palm Springs to attend the festival, while TMZ described him as heading into that weekend. The coffee run was not a Coachella performance or an official festival appearance; the connection is its timing and location. (Teen Vogue; TMZ)

PerthNow reported that weeks before the coffee-shop encounter, Bieber had posted: “I got anger issues too, but I wanna grow and not react so much smh”. That was his own description of wanting to change how he responds; it does not establish why he confronted the photographers or amount to a clinical assessment. (PerthNow)

Teen Vogue described a mix of online reactions, including fans defending Bieber and others criticizing the encounter. Those examples show differing responses, not a measurement of overall public opinion.
