THEM: The Scare is the second installment of the horror anthology series THEM. Set in 1991 Los Angeles, the eight-episode season follows LAPD Homicide Detective Dawn Reeve as she investigates a foster home mother’s murder while a malevolent presence threatens her family. It premiered on Prime Video on April 25, 2024; Sony currently lists it as streaming there, though availability may vary by region.
What is THEM: The Scare about?
The story begins with Detective Dawn Reeve, played by Deborah Ayorinde, assigned to investigate the gruesome murder of a foster home mother. As Dawn pursues the case, an ominous supernatural presence begins to grip her and her family. The series places that investigation in a tumultuous 1991 Los Angeles described as being on the edge of chaos. Sony Pictures’ official series page characterizes it as a horror drama.

A third season has not been confirmed in the official Sony listing or the release materials cited here. A 2024 ComicBook.com report described Little Marvin as interested in telling more stories and noted that the original Prime Video order covered two seasons. That is not an announcement that a third season was commissioned. No season-three release date is established.
