Players have shared a 20-answer sequence for Google’s Stranger Things scavenger hunt, but it is not an official or verified answer key. Use it as a clue-matching guide: the wording, order, and whether the hunt advances may vary with the version or browser you encounter.
Community-reported answers, in sequence
The list below was posted by a player on Reddit. It has not been confirmed against Google’s live game, and one entry is spelled “Madax” in the original post. Match answers to the clue on your screen rather than assuming every entry will work in every version. Reddit community reports

Match the answer to the clue
Community posts give a few useful clue-to-answer matches, but they do not establish that a current version accepts every reported response.
- “Will’s Secret Fortress” or the Christmas-lights clue: Castle Byers. A commenter specifically recommended “castle byers” to someone stuck at the Christmas lights.
- “What analogy did Mr. Clarke use to explain alternate dimensions to the boys?”: The Acrobat and the Flea.
- “What’s the one that’s called papa’s favorite”: Community replies point to Henry Creel. The reported sequence lists “Madax” at that position, so check the precise wording shown in your game before treating either as certain.
- “close gate” radio Morse-code clue: The sequence reports “Close Gate.”
- “Lovers Lake picture”: The sequence reports “Lover’s Lake.”
If a correct-looking answer does not advance
A stalled clue does not necessarily mean you have the wrong answer. Community posts describe both answers that appear not to register and cases where the Google result or die animation appears but the hunt itself fails to load. These are user reports, not official Google troubleshooting guidance.

- Check the exact clue text and compare it with the reported matches above. Try the spelling and capitalization shown in the sequence, including “Madax” if that is the relevant entry.
- If the hunt appears not to load or submit, try a different browser. One player said Scoops Ahoy worked in a browser with less script blocking after Brave failed for them.
- As an optional diagnostic, temporarily disable a content blocker that might interfere with the page, then reload. This is an anecdotal workaround, not a guaranteed fix.
What is known about current availability
The available official Google instructions found for this topic are for Tap Party, a separate balloon-tapping game—not the Stranger Things scavenger hunt. Google’s Tap Party page says its contest submission period ended September 20, 2026, and casual play ended September 30, 2026; those dates do not establish whether this hunt remains accessible. Do not confuse the hunt with other Stranger Things games
The Eggo Card Game and Stranger Things 3: The Game are separate products, not ways to unlock or solve Google’s browser hunt. Hasbro describes its Eggo Card Game (product C4548) as a physical card game with 106 Eggo cards, seven character cards, and instructions for 2 to 6 players.
