The closest match in entertainment coverage is Bravo’s report on how Brielle Biermann, daughter of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, learned that her parents were separating. This article covers that story. According to Bravo’s summary of Brielle’s remarks, the split seemed to come out of nowhere to her, and she felt protective of her siblings and saddened by how the separation was affecting them.
Brielle’s account is the child-side perspective. The parents’ accounts, as reported since early 2026, conflict on custody, and no court ruling on those claims appears in the reporting we reviewed.
Who is speaking and which story this is
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are the former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member and her husband. Brielle is their daughter, and the siblings referred to in her remarks are her younger brothers and sisters. If you were looking for a different RHOA family, this is probably not your story. The RHOA-related divorce covered separately by Bravo in February 2026, involving Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker, is a different case (see the section below).
One caveat applies to everything attributed to Brielle here. Bravo’s original page for her interview could not be retrieved in full, so this article relies on Bravo’s published summary of what she said. We have not verified exact wording, so none of the sentences below are direct quotations from Brielle.

Bravo’s summary says the separation was unexpected to Brielle. It does not describe when or how she was told, who told her, or what she was doing when she found out, and this article does not fill those gaps.
Her concern for her siblings
Brielle’s summary says she felt protective of her siblings and was sad about the effect the divorce was having on them. Those are her feelings as Bravo describes them. The reporting does not describe specific incidents involving the children.

Where the custody dispute stands in the reporting
The custody claims come from two sides and are dated by when each outlet published them. The table lists the developments in order, with the status of each claim as it appears in the reporting.

In short, Kim says the temporary arrangement remains in place and that custody has not changed outside it. Kroy’s filing asks for permanent custody and alleges neglect. Those two positions are not yet resolved in any reporting we reviewed.

What the Kandi Burruss story is not
Bravo reported in February 2026 that Kandi Burruss was describing efforts to co-parent with Todd Tucker and make the transition easier for their children. That is a separate divorce involving a different RHOA-connected couple. Coverage of one should not be read as coverage of the other.

- Brielle’s remarks are known only through Bravo’s summary, not a verified transcript.
