Netflix premiered it on February 5, 2026, and all ten episodes are now streaming. The season’s ten episode titles were confirmed in the post-release episode guide, and they are listed in full below.
Release date and episode count
Netflix’s official Tudum page for the season gives February 5, 2026 as the premiere date and confirms that Season 4 has ten episodes. Michael Connelly’s official website, which hosts a page on the series, also states that all ten episodes are available to stream. Netflix’s own announcement of the premiere date and episode count came in a December 2025 report by What’s on Netflix, which had earlier been unable to confirm either detail.

What the season is about
Season 4 adapts Michael Connelly’s 2020 novel The Law of Innocence, the sixth book in his Lincoln Lawyer sequence. The premise shifts the series’ usual dynamic. Mickey Haller, the defense attorney played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, is accused of murdering a former client, Sam Scales, after Scales’s body is found in Mickey’s car.

Netflix’s synopsis describes Mickey as facing a relentless district attorney while he tries to prove his innocence, expose the real killer, and save his firm. In the Season 3 finale, the stakes were already high; the showrunners said the new season takes that further because Mickey is now the one on trial.

Netflix Tudum attributes the following sentence to co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez: “Following the incredibly suspenseful and emotional climax of Season 3, the stakes have never been higher, because this time Mickey is the client.”

Humphrey, who is also co-executive producer, told Tudum: “Well, the biggest cliff-hanger of all is ‘What is going to happen to Mickey?’ and that one certainly plays out across the whole season in the form of his trial.”
Returning and new cast
According to Netflix Tudum, Neve Campbell returns as Maggie McPherson, and Constance Zimmer joins the cast as prosecutor Dana Berg. Netflix’s description of the adaptation also says the season keeps the series’ “signature twists, along with the unique blend of suspense, humor and heart” fans expect, with each character confronting Mickey’s predicament alongside personal challenges of their own.

What changed from the early episode and date reports
The early reporting on this season was preliminary, and some of it has been superseded. On September 12, 2025, What’s on Netflix reported that a February 5, 2026 release was unconfirmed and disclosed eight episode titles. Those titles were listed alphabetically, not in episode order:
- “50/50”
- “7211956”
- “Baja”
- “Bleeding the Beast”
- “Confirmation Bias”
- “Forty Hours”
- “Honor Among Thieves”
- “You’re the One That I Want”
That early list was not complete. It did not include “October Surprise” or “The Law of Innocence,” the ninth and tenth episodes in the confirmed order. The February 5 date was speculation at that point and is no longer current.

Should you read the novel first?
You do not need to read The Law of Innocence to follow the season, since the series is built to stand on its own. The book is useful if you want the source story in its original form, and Connelly’s official site links to it. The television adaptation is a separate telling of the same premise, so details, pacing and characters may differ from the page.
For readers who want the book, The Law of Innocence by Michael Connelly is the source novel for the season. It is the sixth title in the Lincoln Lawyer sequence.
