Andor Season 2, Episode 5 is titled “I Have Friends Everywhere”—not “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised.” Released April 29, 2025, the episode follows Cassian’s covert assessment of Ghorman, where local resistance, Imperial infiltration and the risks of hidden intelligence operations begin to converge.
What happens in “I Have Friends Everywhere”?
Luthen sends Cassian to Ghorman to assess the growing rebellion. Cassian travels under the cover identity Varian Skye, a Coruscanti fashion designer, and makes contact with Carro Rylanz, a leader of a local rebel cell. Carro’s family and community have deep roots on the planet and fear what Imperial occupation will bring. They are wary of Cassian’s reluctance to move directly into open conflict.
The assignment is intelligence-gathering, not a straightforward call to arms. Cassian has to understand the local situation and the people living with its consequences before deciding what the rebellion can do. His line to the Ghorman rebels captures the practical logic of the work: “It’s not stealing things that’s hard. It’s getting away.”
Why is Cassian on Ghorman?
Cassian is there on Luthen’s orders to evaluate the Ghorman rebellion. His disguise lets him enter the community without arriving as an obvious rebel operative, but the cover cannot erase the divide between his cautious mission and the locals’ fear of what is coming. For Carro’s cell, the Empire’s threat is immediate and tied to home; for Cassian, acting too soon—or without understanding the situation—could endanger the operation.

A memorial marks the Tarkin Massacre, while the Empire’s construction of an armory casts a new shadow over Ghorman. The massacre is part of the history shaping local distrust; it should not be confused with later events in the Ghorman arc.
How does Syril Karn enter the resistance?
Syril is embedded in Ghorman’s Bureau of Standards office as an Imperial double agent. Backed by Dedra Meero, he works for Major Partagaz while moving into the orbit of the Ghorman Front. The arrangement makes him an unlikely infiltrator: unlike Cassian, he is entering the resistance under Imperial direction.

That contrast turns the Ghorman plot into a contest over visibility and trust. Cassian is a rebel trying to learn what the Empire is doing and what local fighters need. Syril is an Imperial operative trying to get close to those fighters. Both rely on access and concealment, but they serve opposing goals.
What happens to Luthen, Bix and Kleya’s operation?
Luthen checks on Bix as the episode keeps its focus on the less visible work supporting the rebellion. Kleya’s listening-device operation is at risk while Davo Sculdun’s collection is being inspected. If the source of the signal is uncovered, the danger is not merely that one piece of equipment will be found: the intelligence channel itself could be exposed.
Rank #3
This thread shows how fragile covert work can be. Cassian faces the risk of exposure on Ghorman; Kleya faces the risk of losing a source of information—and drawing attention to the people behind it. The episode treats intelligence as an operation that must be protected, not as information rebels can simply collect without consequence.

Wilmon encounters Saw Gerrera’s uncompromising approach to rebellion. StarWars.com describes Saw’s cell as operating by a pirate-like code: it takes what it wants and is willing to kill people it suspects of betrayal. That description helps distinguish Saw’s methods from the local Ghorman cell’s struggle to defend its community, and from Cassian’s intelligence mission.
Rank #4
The episode’s rebel threads therefore raise different questions about what resistance demands. Ghorman’s fighters face the threat of occupation at home; Syril’s infiltration makes trust dangerous; Kleya’s operation depends on secrecy; and Saw’s group accepts a level of violence that can make allies fear it as much as the Empire. Wilmon is encountering the human cost of that approach, not just its tactical force.
What the episode adds to the Ghorman arc
“I Have Friends Everywhere” is an espionage chapter in the larger Ghorman story. Its parallel plots show rebellion from several angles: firsthand intelligence, local resistance, Imperial infiltration, covert listening and the brutal methods of Saw’s cell. The episode’s title evokes a network of contacts, but its story also shows how difficult it is to know whom to trust when nearly every side is working in secret.
The three-episode installment containing this chapter is set in BBY 3, three years before Rogue One, according to StarWars.com’s timeline explainer. The episode is listed on Rotten Tomatoes as “I Have Friends Everywhere,” with an April 29, 2025 release date; the listing names Disney+ as the viewing service.
