The 2LP is the curated option at a lower announced price. The 8LP is the complete collection in a deluxe package. Both are already on sale in North America, so the question now is which edition fits your collection and whether it is still in stock.
What is on the 2LP
The 2LP is a selection, not the full score. Its 34 tracks include “Main Theme,” “Overworld (Day),” “Kass’s Theme,” “Great Fairy Fountain,” “Hyrule Castle,” and “Epilogue.” Nintendo’s Canadian product page for the 2LP lists Laced Records as manufacturer, with SKU 127812 and UPC 05063176092816.
The limited edition uses blue-and-white marbled heavyweight vinyl with printed sleeves and a wide-spined sleeve. Nintendo says the standard version uses black vinyl.
What is in the 8LP box set
The 8LP box set carries 130 tracks. Nintendo’s October 29, 2025 announcement says the collection is “all newly remastered for the vinyl format,” so it is not simply a repressing of the 2LP selection with extra discs added. The album sequencing follows the game’s progression and spans exploration, battles, the Divine Beasts, Shrines, and story-related material.
#1 Best Overall
The limited edition uses blue-and-gold splatter-effect heavyweight vinyl. Packaging includes printed disc inners, spined inner sleeves, and a rigid dual slipcase. Nintendo’s Canadian 8LP page lists the full tracklist.
Edition comparison
| Edition | Tracks | Limited vinyl | Packaging | Announced US price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2LP | 34 selected tracks | Blue-and-white marbled, heavyweight | Printed sleeves, wide-spined sleeve | $49.99 (Nintendo announcement, October 29, 2025) |
| 8LP box set | 130 tracks, newly remastered for vinyl (Nintendo’s claim) | Blue-and-gold splatter-effect, heavyweight | Printed disc inners, spined inner sleeves, rigid dual slipcase | $194.99 (Nintendo announcement, October 29, 2025) |
The 2LP makes sense if you want a sampler of the main themes at a lower cost. The 8LP suits collectors who want the full score across the game’s stages. Both prices are announcement prices from October 2025, not verified current retail prices.
Composer credits
Nintendo credits Manaka Kataoka, Yasuaki Iwata, and Hajime Wakai across the collection pages. The 8LP page also credits Soshi Abe. The two product pages do not list an identical credit set, so check the page for the edition you are buying.
Availability and pricing
Nintendo’s announcement says the standard black vinyl editions “will be available at select retailers.” That describes the planned distribution, not current stock. Nintendo’s product pages and select retailers are the places to check. Stock and prices change after launch, and this article does not verify either.
Regional release dates
Nintendo of America and Nintendo Canada give September 4, 2026 as the release date. An earlier Nintendo Australia announcement cited June 19, 2026. If you are in Australia, confirm the local date with Nintendo Australia before you order.
Listening without vinyl
Nintendo Music is the digital option. It offers the full soundtrack, but it requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
