The final Yellowstone episodes, the second part of season 5, premiered on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Paramount Network. CBS also aired a special broadcast of that season premiere on the same night. The franchise’s new sequel is Marshals, which premiered on CBS on March 1, 2026.
When the final Yellowstone season premiered
Because the final season’s second part is already in the past, readers looking for an upcoming date should treat the November 2024 schedule as the historical answer. Two announcements covered that night, from two different parts of the Paramount ecosystem.

The Paramount Network announcement was the primary premiere notice. The CBS announcement was a separate, later notice about a special airing of the same episode, so readers who remember seeing Yellowstone on CBS and on Paramount Network that week are not confusing two different premieres.
The sequel: Marshals
The sequel was announced on January 26, 2026, under the name “Y: Marshals” in the release, and it is now identified as Marshals. It is a Yellowstone-universe series in which Luke Grimes reprises his role as Kayce Dutton. According to the official release, Dutton leaves the Yellowstone Ranch and joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals in Montana.

Premiere dates
- Season 1 premiere: Sunday, March 1, 2026, on CBS, with Paramount+ streaming access subject to plan conditions.
- Season 2 premiere: October 4, 2026, on CBS and Paramount+, according to the official series page as of October 8, 2026, with the same plan-based conditions applying.
The season 2 date is the most recent figure available as of this writing. Because it comes from a series page rather than a launch announcement, check that page again before relying on it for a viewing schedule.
