Which relationship the title means
The “overlooked relationship” is the one between Morph and Wolverine, whom the series calls Logan. Morph is the shapeshifting mutant who has been close to Logan in the franchise, and the question is whether the show gives their bond a romantic dimension rather than leaving it as friendship or loyalty.

The director interview is about a different pair
A 2024 TV Insider interview with director Jake Castorena discusses Jubilee and Roberto DaCosta (Sunspot) and how their relationship develops, along with the characters’ narrative perspectives. It does not address Morph and Logan. It is useful only as context for how the series handles relationship storytelling, not as evidence about Morph.
Fan discussion is interpretation
Fan threads can be a fair guide to how the scene reads to viewers, but they cannot confirm intent. A viewer who sees romance in a glance or line of dialogue is making an inference, and another viewer can reasonably read the same moment as loyalty.

How to test the “does justice” claim
The headline makes two claims at once: that the relationship was overlooked before, and that this series now handles it well. The reporting supports neither as a measured conclusion. You can test them yourself with a simple sequence.
- Watch the scenes between Morph and Logan in the episodes you are judging, and note the exact lines and what the characters do, without relying on the headline.
- Decide whether the romantic reading is visible on screen, implied, or only present in the creator’s reported comments.
- Find the original interview behind the May 2024 report and compare its wording with the secondary account. If the original is not available, keep the confirmation labelled as reported.
- Judge “does justice” by the first layer alone. If the show makes the bond clear in what it depicts, the claim holds. If the romance exists only in outside comments, the show has not yet done that work on screen.
What is still open
Three points remain unresolved in the available reporting: the creator’s exact words, the specific episode and scene the report relates to, and whether the pairing received more or less attention than other relationships in the series. Each would need a primary source, such as the original interview or the episode itself, before it could be stated as fact.
