What Season 4 adapts
Season 4 is based on Lee Child’s Gone Tomorrow, the thirteenth novel in the Reacher series. Amazon’s official synopsis describes a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a subway that goes wrong and draws Jack Reacher into a deadly game against powerful adversaries. Amazon names Philadelphia as the subway’s city. Paramount’s release uses the broader wording “on a subway,” so the city is best treated as Amazon’s specific detail rather than a point confirmed across every release. Alan Ritchson plays Reacher.

If you want to read the source novel alongside the season, Gone Tomorrow is the book the episodes are built on. Reading it is optional; the series is fully watchable without it.
Where to watch
Amazon describes Season 4 as exclusive to Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. Access to the full season depends on a Prime Video membership, and pricing and catalog availability vary by country. Check the Prime Video app or website in your region before subscribing, since the regional catalog can differ from the figures quoted in U.S.-focused coverage.

Seasons 5 and 6
The renewals came in two stages. Season 5 was announced at Amazon’s May upfront presentation, before Season 4 launched, and was reported as being in production in Toronto when the next announcement was made. Season 5 adapts Lee Child’s Make Me, the twentieth novel in the series.
On September 28, 2026, Paramount Press Express reported that Prime Video had ordered Season 6. No premiere date for Season 5 or Season 6 had been published in the Amazon or Paramount materials available at the time of writing in October 2026, so any date you see should be checked against Prime Video’s official announcements.

Audience figures Amazon has published
Amazon has released several viewing and ranking figures for Season 4. These come from the platform itself and have not been independently audited:
- 66 million global viewers in the first 28 days. Amazon said Season 4 surpassed Season 3’s performance over the same period.
- Top five most-viewed seasons of any Prime Video original. This is Amazon’s ranking characterization, not an independently compiled chart.
- More than 200 million viewers worldwide since the series’ 2022 debut. Amazon’s figure as of its 2026 announcements.
- 58% of the audience is international, with particularly strong performance in the U.K., Germany, and Brazil, according to Amazon’s September 2026 announcement.
Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios, said: “Reacher hits hard.” He added: “What Lee Child has built and Nick Santora and his creative teams have brought to life is, simply, incredible. Alan Ritchson is Jack Reacher — he’s delivered a performance that has captivated audiences around the world.”
