In Vogue’s 2022 first-person wedding feature, Michler describes the late-afternoon ceremony at Sankaty Head Beach Club in ’Sconset, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, followed by a reception at Sankaty Head Golf Club. Vogue’s wedding feature recounts several days of celebrations, including a welcome gathering at the Whaling Museum and a rehearsal dinner.

How did the couple meet and get engaged?
Michler told Vogue that they met at a dinner party in New York City. After a year and a half of dating, Kopelman planned an afternoon visiting places significant to their relationship and proposed at dusk on their favorite bridge in Central Park. A few days later, he proposed again in front of his daughters, Olive and Frankie.

“Will planned an afternoon around New York City, visiting all of the spots that were significant in our relationship, ending at our favorite bridge in Central Park, where he proposed at dusk,” Allie remembers.
Vogue also describes the wedding’s Nantucket-inspired details, including vintage postcards used for the save-the-dates and reply cards. The couple left in Kopelman’s restored 1977 Jeep Wagoneer, nicknamed “Rosie.”

What is the connection to Drew Barrymore?
Kopelman was married to actor Drew Barrymore before his relationship with Michler. Barrymore and Kopelman announced their separation in April 2016 and share two daughters, Olive and Frankie. Entertainment Tonight’s 2016 report
The girls were part of the wedding coverage: Vogue’s feature includes them in the celebration, and Entertainment Tonight’s 2021 account said photos shared by Kopelman’s sister appeared to show them in the wedding. Who is Alexandra “Allie” Michler?
At the time of the wedding coverage, Michler was identified as Vogue’s director of fashion initiatives by Vogue and as a Vogue editor or director of fashion development by Entertainment Tonight. Those are the outlets’ descriptions at the time, rather than confirmation of her current title.
