Manga spoilers: Yes. Nezuko speaks again after she conquers sunlight. At first, she echoes Tanjiro rather than immediately returning to ordinary conversation; later in the manga, she communicates more normally.
When does Nezuko start speaking again?
Nezuko’s return to speech follows the events in which she conquers sunlight. The official VIZ listings place the relevant story sequence around chapters 127 and 128. Those listings confirm the chapter sequence, but do not provide searchable panel text, so they should not be used to verify an exact quotation of her first words.
Her first notable speech is limited: she echoes Tanjiro’s words rather than immediately speaking fluently. Later manga scenes show more ordinary communication, so she does not only repeat that first phrase.
Does Nezuko speak in the anime?
The answer above describes the manga. The official character and cast pages establish who Nezuko is, but the sources available here do not confirm which of her later speech scenes have appeared in released anime episodes. Netflix reported on September 28, 2026, that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle I was streaming; that dated availability announcement does not establish whether a particular later speech moment was adapted.

For anime-only viewers, the safest approach is to check an official episode guide for the releases available in their region rather than assume an episode number. Manga readers can follow the story through the official VIZ chapter listings.
What changes—and what remains the same?
Nezuko’s speech develops, but her bond with Tanjiro and her protective role remain central. The official anime character page identifies her as Tanjiro’s younger sister and describes her as someone who does not attack humans. Those traits are part of the context for her story; her return to speech does not simply erase her demon transformation.

If you want the canon story beyond what you have watched, VIZ’s series page provides official manga reading and ordering information. Chapter 204 is among the later chapters listed there, but a chapter listing alone does not verify any specific line of dialogue.
