But Bad Bunny’s individual contract and exact payment have not been publicly established in the sources reviewed. The NFL typically covers show expenses; that is separate from the performer’s personal fee.
What is known about Bad Bunny’s payment?
CBS News reported on February 8, 2026, that halftime performers generally earn union-scale compensation and that the NFL typically pays show expenses. The report did not disclose Bad Bunny’s contract, the number of days covered, or his final compensation. Its approximate daily figure describes general reporting, not a verified Bad Bunny paycheck. The NFL’s official announcement names Bad Bunny as the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show performer but does not give payment terms. Bad Bunny described the performance as “this is for my people, my culture, and our history.” That statement explains his motivation, not whether or how much he was paid. NFL announcement
How performer pay differs from show expenses
Three different things can be confused when discussing halftime-show money:
#1 Best Overall
- Genre: Rock, Latin Pop/Rock
- Number of Discs: 2
- Number of Tracks: 17
- Album Title: DEBI TIRAR MAS FOTOS
- Music Artist/Band: Bad Bunny
- The headliner’s performance fee: Any amount paid directly to Bad Bunny under his individual agreement. The cited public sources do not disclose that amount.
- Compensation for other performers: Covered dancers and other workers may receive compensation under applicable union terms. Those minimums do not establish the headliner’s fee.
- Production and other expenses: CBS News says the NFL typically covers show expenses. Funding production, travel, or other costs is not the same as paying those sums to the headliner personally.
What union rules say about halftime dancers
SAG-AFTRA’s 2025 Network Television Code summary says Super Bowl halftime dancers are paid in the same manner as dancers on awards programs longer than 60 minutes, resulting in a substantial increase in minimum compensation. This is a specific rule for dancers, not a published rate for Bad Bunny as headliner. SAG-AFTRA’s 2025 Network Television Code summary
In a January 25, 2022 statement, SAG-AFTRA said professional dancers should not rehearse or work on the halftime show without compensation and reported that Roc Nation had contracted 115 paid SAG-AFTRA professional dancers for that year’s show. Those details describe the 2022 production; they do not establish the dancer count or payment terms for Super Bowl LX. SAG-AFTRA’s 2022 statement

What can’t be confirmed
The available public statements and reporting do not establish that Bad Bunny was paid a particular amount—or that he received no compensation. They also do not show that he personally received the production budget. The sound conclusion is narrower: performers are generally reported to receive union-scale compensation, while Bad Bunny’s individual deal remains undisclosed.
