Cody Rhodes reportedly explained that Triple H had left Germany early to see his oldest daughter off to college. The explanation was reported after Triple H’s absence from the Bash in Berlin post-show media scrum; it has not been independently confirmed here by an official WWE transcript or video.
Why did Triple H leave Bash in Berlin early?
According to a September 1, 2024 report by Wrestling-Online, Cody Rhodes said Triple H had left Germany earlier to see his oldest daughter off to college. Rhodes took Triple H’s place at the post-show media scrum.
The report paraphrases Rhodes’s explanation rather than providing a verified direct quotation. The reason should therefore be attributed to Rhodes as reported by Wrestling-Online, not presented as a confirmed statement from Triple H or WWE.
What happened at the post-show press conference?
Triple H was absent from the media scrum after the event, and Rhodes faced reporters in his place, according to the contemporary report. The reviewed sources do not establish when Triple H departed, where he traveled, or whether he missed any other obligation.

What was Bash in Berlin?
WWE held Bash in Berlin on August 31, 2024, at the venue then called Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin. WWE described it as the first major WWE Premium Live Event in Germany; the company’s results page refers to the venue as Uber Arena.
The card included Cody Rhodes defeating Kevin Owens, Gunther defeating Randy Orton, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill winning the Women’s Tag Team titles, CM Punk defeating Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match, and Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley defeating Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio. Those results provide context for the event but do not independently verify why Triple H left.
