On the June 3, 2025 broadcast she put her head down on the table as a comic reaction, and later in the same show she pushed herself up from her chair and shouted during a Hot Topics discussion. Entertainment Weekly, whose report was republished by AOL, describes both moments as theatrics that drew audience laughter and applause. The word “collapses” in the headline refers to that staged table gesture.
The two moments, in order
The episode contained two separate reactions, several minutes apart, and they came from different parts of the Hot Topics segment.

1. The head-on-the-table reaction
The first came after co-host Joy Behar joked, “They should do a show called Who’s Your Diddy?” The segment’s opening joke concerned Sean Combs. Goldberg responded by putting her head down on the table while the audience laughed and applauded. As reported, it was a visual punchline rather than a pause for any other reason.
2. The stand-up and shout
The second moment came during a discussion of an account involving Victoria Beckham, Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz, and Marc Anthony. Goldberg pushed herself up from her chair and shouted, “What! Oh my God!” and then, “Marc Anthony, what’s wrong with you!?” These are the lines as the Entertainment Weekly report attributes them. They have not been checked against a full transcript or original recording, so treat the exact wording as the reported version.

Why the “collapse” is not a health event
Headlines about television hosts often borrow medical language for a physical bit, and this one does the same. Nothing in the coverage describes a fainting spell, a health crisis, or medical attention. The reporting frames the table gesture as a comedic reaction to the show’s own material, and the audience’s laughter and applause are part of how it was received on air. A reader who sees “collapses” should understand it as a staged gag.
The Marc Anthony anecdote and its sourcing
The shout was prompted by a wedding anecdote involving Marc Anthony and Victoria Beckham. The Entertainment Weekly report attributes that story to unconfirmed speculation from an anonymous source. It is not an established fact, and nothing in the coverage confirms that the alleged incident happened. If you repeat the story, say that it was reported as speculation from an anonymous source and leave it at that.
Rank #2
The exchange is also about a discussion of the account, not a new claim by the show. Goldberg’s line is a reaction to the story as presented on air.
A different event: Goldberg’s 2019 illness
Readers searching Goldberg’s name alongside “collapse” sometimes connect this clip to her health history. The two are separate. ABC News reported on her March 14, 2019 return to the show after an illness. In that report, she had previously told viewers she had pneumonia in both lungs, which led to sepsis. That was years before the June 2025 segment, and nothing in the 2025 coverage links the table gesture or the shout to that illness.

What is and is not confirmed
- Confirmed by the reporting: the June 3, 2025 date, the head-on-table reaction during the Behar joke, and the standing-and-shouting moment during the Beckham and Anthony discussion.
- Attributed, not independently verified: the exact on-air quotes and the sequence as described by Entertainment Weekly.
- Unconfirmed: the wedding story about Marc Anthony and Victoria Beckham.
- Not supported: any claim of fainting, a medical emergency, or a 2025 health issue.
ABC’s official program page describes The View as a talk show that posts video clips, but it does not itself document this sequence. To check the moment yourself, look for the June 3, 2025 episode on ABC’s official channels and compare the Behar joke and the Anthony exchange against the report’s description. A full transcript or the original recording would settle the exact wording.

- Name the date: June 3, 2025 episode of The View.
- Describe the table gesture as a comic reaction, not a collapse.
- Attribute the shout and quotes to the Entertainment Weekly report.
- Label the Beckham and Anthony wedding story as unconfirmed speculation from an anonymous source.
- Keep the 2019 illness out of any 2025 framing.
Written this way, the story stays faithful to what was reported and does not turn a studio gag into a health story.
