Reports published on October 22, 2025 said he died in Delhi the night before, reportedly of a heart attack, at the age of 35. The heart attack is the cause given in press coverage and in a statement attributed to a person close to the family. It has not been confirmed by an official medical record or a family announcement.
Who he was
Tandon worked under the name Faqeer. Coverage from India Today and Hindustan Times describes him as a singer, composer and actor. Songs named in reporting include “Yeh Ashiqui” and “Ishq Fakeerana.” Hindustan Times also lists the digital musical series Faqeer – Living Limitless and Rashna: The Ray of Light. What the reports say about his death
The death was first reported on October 22, 2025, by India Today and NDTV. The sources differ in how they confirmed it:
- India Today said a former member of his team confirmed the news.
- NDTV attributed its account to a source close to the family, who said he died in Delhi and that the death followed a heart attack.
NDTV quoted the source as saying: “He died last night after a heart attack. He was in Delhi since August as his father was not well.” The speaker is not named, so the account cannot be checked against a family statement or a medical document. Treat the heart attack as the reported cause, not as a verified medical finding.
