Molly O’Connell is a Charleston-raised model and musician who joined Bravo’s Southern Charm as a cast member in Season 10 and is listed among the returning cast for Season 12. Before the show, she was known for America’s Next Top Model, where Bravo reports she finished as runner-up on Cycle 16, which aired in 2011.
Her background in Charleston
O’Connell grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. Bravo’s official biography says she was adopted at three days old by two attorneys. Bravo’s Season 10 introduction describes her as a Charleston native who left the city to pursue modeling and later moved back, closer to family and friends.
Modeling before and alongside Southern Charm
O’Connell’s first national television profile came from America’s Next Top Model. Bravo reports that she placed second on Cycle 16, a competition result rather than a broader industry ranking. Bravo also says she has appeared in fashion publications and walked couture runways.
Her modeling background and her reality-television career overlap rather than replace one another. Bravo’s profiles present both as current parts of her public life, and nothing in its reporting says she has stopped modeling.

Music: euphonium, songwriting and guitar
Bravo identifies O’Connell as a professional euphonium player with the Charleston Concert Band. On Southern Charm, her music has become a larger storyline. Bravo’s current cast profiles say she is working on songwriting and guitar, and that her music career continues alongside her television work.
From background appearances to Season 12
Bravo says O’Connell appeared in the background of earlier Southern Charm seasons before she became a named cast member in Season 10. Her Season 12 profile describes a storyline in which her music career continues while her place in the group is tested by relationship developments and conflicts involving other cast members.

Relationship status as of October 2026
Bravo’s October 7, 2026 report says O’Connell is newly single after a breakup with an unnamed older Charleston musician she had performed with in a band. Because relationship status changes quickly, treat that report as a dated status rather than a permanent fact.
The same article discusses previous connections among cast members. It also says that a Season 12 trailer scene involving Austen Kroll does not confirm a relationship, so it should not be described as an established romance.
