Tivik is the name linked to Cassian Andor’s next step in the Andor finale. After delivering Luthen Rael’s final intelligence to the Rebellion on Yavin 4, Cassian heads to the Rings of Kafrene—the place the official episode guide identifies as where viewers meet him in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Who is Tivik?
Tivik is named in StarWars.com’s finale explainer as part of Cassian’s next steps: “Tivik. Kafrene. Saw Gerrera on Jedha.” The explainer does not provide a fuller account of Tivik or describe the meeting. The name points toward the Rogue One connection, but the official finale material does not narrate that encounter in detail.

Where is Cassian going at the end of Andor?
First: Yavin 4
In the official Season 2 Episode 12 guide, the ISB closes in on the safehouse. Cassian, Ruescott Melshi, and Kleya Marki escape with help from K-2SO. Cassian then delivers Luthen’s final intelligence to the Rebellion on Yavin 4.
Next: the Rings of Kafrene
After that delivery, Cassian heads to the Rings of Kafrene on a mission. The episode guide explicitly describes Kafrene as the place “where we will meet him in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” The two locations therefore serve different roles: Yavin 4 is where Cassian delivers Luthen’s intelligence; Kafrene is his next destination and the bridge to his appearance in the film.

How does the finale connect to Rogue One?
The finale sets up the transition rather than recounting the film’s scene: Cassian carries the Rebellion’s work forward from Yavin 4 toward Kafrene, where Rogue One introduces him in connection with Tivik. StarWars.com frames the finale as being on the brink of Rogue One, and its episode guide directly links the Kafrene mission to that appearance.
The official explainer labels the relevant timeline section “BBY 1 (One year before Battle of Yavin).” The sources establish that broad timeline framing, but do not state the exact elapsed time between the finale and Cassian’s Kafrene scene.

What the official material does not explain
The StarWars.com finale explainer and episode guide establish Tivik’s place in the transition and identify Kafrene as Cassian’s next destination. They do not fully narrate the meeting with Tivik, give a precise interval before the film scene, or explain why Cassian is alone in that scene. Those details should not be inferred from the finale summaries alone.
StarWars.com’s Cassian Andor Databank profile describes him as eventually becoming an accomplished Alliance Intelligence officer and lists both Andor and Rogue One among his appearances. That broader arc fits the handoff, while the episode guide supplies the specific route from Yavin 4 to Kafrene.
