Nicholas Scratch is Agatha Harkness’s warlock son and a Fantastic Four villain. He rules New Salem, a community of magic users, and becomes a threat to Agatha and Franklin Richards. His children, Salem’s Seven, later try to bring him back after his banishment to a Dark Realm.

Who is Nicholas Scratch?

Scratch is a Marvel Comics warlock and antagonist whose story is tied to Agatha Harkness and the Fantastic Four. When Agatha left New Salem, the mages-only community where she had lived, Scratch was left in charge. Marvel describes him as a despotic ruler. Marvel’s Agatha Harkness comics history and its Agatha Harkness character guide outline his role.

How is he connected to Agatha Harkness and Salem’s Seven?

Scratch is Agatha’s son. Salem’s Seven are his children; they become central to his later story by banding together to bring their father back to life. Their family connection links the New Salem conflict to Scratch’s attempted return.
