Biography.com reports that McCarthy and Falcone first crossed paths as teenagers in Indiana in 1988. Their later, more formal meeting came in a comedy-writing class at The Groundlings in Los Angeles. AARP’s joint interview dates that class meeting to 1998; Biography.com describes it as occurring about a decade after their earlier encounter.

Biography.com gives the couple’s wedding date as October 8, 2005. It identifies their daughters as Vivian, born May 5, 2007, and Georgette, born March 22, 2010.
Ben Falcone’s career and work with McCarthy
Falcone is an actor, writer, and director, and his professional partnership with McCarthy includes both acting and filmmaking. Their first major feature collaboration was Tammy (2014), which they co-wrote. TIME describes it as the first film they wrote together and Falcone’s directorial debut.

Falcone directed and co-wrote The Boss (2016), sharing screenplay credit with McCarthy and Steve Mallory. The Credits’ interview with Falcone also identifies him as a co-producer of the film.
In that 2016 interview, Falcone described why he enjoys working with McCarthy: “I think it works just because we make each other laugh, we love each other, and we respect each other.”
