What are Ekko’s powers in the series?
Time is the defining element of Ekko’s abilities. Netflix’s season-one recap describes him as an inventor who can manipulate time. The season-two finale’s design brings him closer to the familiar League of Legends champion through a prototype Z-Drive, a device associated with his time-bending identity.
The production account also notes an improvised weapon made from a clock hand, echoing the champion’s iconic bat. These details signal the direction of his development rather than a complete set of game mechanics already in place in the show.

How does Arcane’s Ekko differ from the League of Legends champion?
Arcane tells Ekko’s story as he grows into the figure players recognize. The game presents a champion with an established visual identity and abilities; the series shows the character moving toward that version. Netflix’s production feature on the season-two finale explicitly says Ekko does not yet have all of his abilities by that point.
Fortiche co-director Arnaud-Loris Baudry described the design goal this way: “We wanted to show the potential of the boy savior, the genius with the potential to defy time.” The prototype Z-Drive and clock-hand weapon make that potential visible without making the series version identical to the fully developed game champion.
