Beth Rylance is reported as Brett Goldstein’s former partner, not his current girlfriend. Goldstein acknowledged her during his 2021 Emmy acceptance speech, but recent coverage disagrees about when their relationship ended—and neither account is a direct statement from the pair.
Who is Beth Rylance?
EL PAÍS describes Rylance as a British actress and comedian. She became publicly associated with Goldstein after he thanked her during his first Emmy acceptance speech in 2021.

What did Brett Goldstein say about her at the Emmys?
Reporting on his 2021 acceptance speech quotes Goldstein saying, “Beth, I love you.” The sources reviewed do not include a full official transcript, so the short acknowledgment is the publicly reported evidence of their relationship—not a detailed account from either person.
When did Beth Rylance and Brett Goldstein split?
The reported timeline is disputed. EL PAÍS, in a profile published October 6, 2026, says the relationship ended in August 2022. TV Insider’s Swooon, in an article published June 5, 2026, says it ended in 2021. Neither report cites a direct statement from Goldstein or Rylance confirming the breakup date, so the dates should not be treated as settled.

Does Brett Goldstein have a girlfriend now?
The available coverage does not establish Goldstein’s current relationship status through a direct, current statement from him. Swooon assessed in June 2026 that he did not appear to have a current girlfriend, while noting that he keeps his personal life private; that is the outlet’s assessment, not confirmation. The title’s “girlfriend” framing is therefore historical in light of the reporting about Rylance.
EL PAÍS also reported that Goldstein and Jennifer Lopez denied dating during a joint appearance on Today. That denial does not establish a separate private relationship.
