Vanderpump Rules Season 11
Wai appeared on Vanderpump Rules only in a limited way during Season 11. Bravo’s coverage points to a FaceTime moment and an interaction with Madix’s friends, and says the show touched on his training and bartending work. He is not presented as a regular cast member.
Age as reported
Bravo reports that Wai said he was 40 during Season 11. A birthday post from Madix indicated he turned 41 in 2024. Those are historical figures from 2024 coverage. They are not a current age, and no more recent statement of his age was found.

How they met
Madix described the first meeting in remarks Bravo quoted: “I met Dan at one of my oldest friends’ weddings, literally 10, 11 days after everything frickin’ blew up.” The “blew up” refers to the public breakup crisis involving her previous partner. The timing is worth stating precisely. They met roughly ten to eleven days after that crisis became public, which is different from a relationship that began the moment a split was announced.
According to Bravo’s account of Madix’s remarks, she was drawn to how Wai contributed thoughtfully to conversations and to his perspective on life. She also said they took things slowly. Their early connection was long-distance from the start, since Madix’s account describes him as a personal trainer and bartender living in New York.
