Jurassic World Rebirth is set on Île Saint-Hubert, a fictional island in the Atlantic Ocean. It is a distinct, named location in the franchise, not Isla Nublar or Isla Sorna, the island settings most closely associated with the earlier films.
Where the island sits in the story
The island’s name comes from the film’s visual-effects work. In an interview with Industrial Light & Magic, visual-effects supervisor David Vickery identifies Île Saint-Hubert as a fictional island in the Atlantic Ocean. The accented spelling is the form used in that source. You will also see “Ile Saint-Hubert” without the accent, which is a common unaccented rendering of the same name.
What the island is used for
Universal Pictures’ official film synopsis does not lead with the island’s name. It describes the place by its story role:
“When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on a forbidden island that had once housed an undisclosed research facility for Jurassic Park.” (Universal Pictures, official film synopsis)

That wording establishes three things. The island is off limits, it once held a research operation linked to Jurassic Park, and the film’s human characters end up stranded there after their boat is attacked. The synopsis does not name the former facility, so readers should not assume it matches a facility from an earlier film.
Why it is not Isla Nublar or Isla Sorna
Because the franchise already has well-known islands, the question usually comes with a follow-up: is this one of them? The official material reviewed for this article does not say so. It names Île Saint-Hubert as the island and does not equate it with either Isla Nublar or Isla Sorna. The most accurate way to describe it is as a separate setting that connects to the franchise through its former research facility.

Mission and timeline
Universal places the story five years after Jurassic World Dominion. According to the synopsis, the dinosaurs that remain live in isolated equatorial environments. The central operation is a mission to collect genetic material from the three most colossal creatures, which the film spreads across land, sea, and air. The island becomes relevant when that operation collides with the family’s boating expedition.
