Jimmy Kimmel hosted the 96th Academy Awards, held Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The Academy announced his return on November 15, 2023, and described it as his fourth time hosting the broadcast. He had previously hosted the 2017, 2018 and 2023 ceremonies. The Academy’s host announcement quoted Kimmel: “I always dreamed of hosting the Oscars exactly four times.”
ABC aired the ceremony live in the United States, and the Academy said the broadcast reached more than 200 territories worldwide.
