Stock and prices vary, so check a retailer’s current listing or contact the shop before making a trip.
Where to shop for Pokémon cards
Pokémon Center
For buyers in the US and Canada, Pokémon Center is the official direct online option named by Pokémon. Its Retail Locator can help find nearby retail locations, but Pokémon does not provide a complete retailer directory or guarantee that a particular store has a product in stock.
Mass-market retailers and hobby shops
Pokémon’s product guidance names Walmart, Target, and GameStop, as well as reputable local hobby shops. The company says TCG products are distributed through existing partnerships with mass-market retailers. Availability and retailer coverage differ by region; verify the specific product with the store.
How to choose between decks, packs, and boxed products
Preconstructed decks
A preconstructed deck contains a fixed 60 cards and is designed to be played out of the box. It is the practical choice if the goal is to start playing without assembling a deck from randomized cards.

Booster packs
Boosters are randomized, making them a fit for buyers who want variety or are collecting a set. Pokémon Support’s general guidance, current in 2026, says a booster contains 10 game cards: 4 commons, 3 uncommons, and 3 foils, with at least one rare or higher, plus an Energy card and a code card redeemable in Pokémon TCG Live. For sets released before Scarlet & Violet, the same guidance says packs guarantee at least one reverse foil instead.
Elite Trainer Boxes, tins, and collections
Boxed products can combine booster packs with promotional cards; Elite Trainer Boxes also include accessories such as sleeves, dice, counters, dividers, and a storage box. Pokémon says the boosters inside these products are the same packs sold individually and do not have a special rate or a higher chance of a specific card. Compare pack count, included promo cards or accessories, and the price against the product contents—not the expectation of better pulls.

How to compare prices without misleading yourself
There is no supported current cross-retailer price comparison or official MSRP table for the products discussed here. A claim that one retailer is cheapest would require current, comparable listings. When comparing a specific product, check:
- The same set, product format, and SKU, and the number of booster packs included.
- The seller’s identity, stock status, and any purchase limit.
- The total cost with shipping and applicable taxes for your region.
- Whether a listing is official retail or resale/marketplace inventory.
- For comparable pack products, the total price per pack; do not use that figure to imply that different products have identical contents.
Prices and stock can change. Pokémon’s May 26, 2026 availability update said high demand was making certain TCG products difficult to purchase, and that it was working to print more and reprint impacted products. It also noted that Pokémon Center may use a virtual queue for certain products during busy periods. That dated update does not establish the current stock of any particular item.

2025 example: Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals
As a historical example, The Pokémon Company International announced Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals for May 30, 2025. The release included booster display boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, Build & Battle Boxes, and booster bundles; its booster bundle format contained six packs. The announcement said Build & Battle Boxes were offered at local game stores during prerelease events and became more widely available around the expansion launch. These details describe a 2025 release, not a current price or recommendation.
Preorders listed for 2026
Pokémon Center Support’s page last updated in October 2026 lists estimated shipment windows for selected preorders, including 30th Celebration products with October or November 2026 estimates and Mega Evolution—Delta Reign products estimated for early November 2026.
