The original six principal cast members of The Game—Tia Mowry, Coby Bell, Pooch Hall, Hosea Chanchez, Brittany Daniel and Wendy Raquel Robinson—went on to different career paths after the comedy-drama ended its original run in 2015. Robinson and Chanchez later returned for the 2021 version; the available recent coverage offers dated public snapshots for some of the other actors, rather than a complete account of all six performers’ current work.
Which version of The Game is this?
This is the U.S. series that debuted on The CW in 2006, following Melanie Barnett and the relationships around professional football. Melanie, played by Tia Mowry, becomes involved with Derwin Davis, a San Diego Sabers wide receiver played by Pooch Hall. Wendy Raquel Robinson played Tasha Mack, Derwin’s manager. The CW’s series description sets out that original premise.
When Paramount announced the series’ move to BET, it named six principal original performers: Mowry, Coby Bell, Hall, Chanchez, Daniel and Robinson. That is the group covered here—not every actor who appeared during the show’s longer BET run. Paramount’s 2008 announcement identifies the ensemble.
Where the original six cast members are now
“Where they are now” is best understood as a look at documented public activity and career information, not anyone’s private whereabouts. A 2026 Essence anniversary retrospective records 2025 public appearances for Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall and Wendy Raquel Robinson. It does not provide a full, equally detailed current career timeline for all six performers.

#1 Best Overall
Tia Mowry
Mowry played Melanie Barnett, the original series’ central character. The recent anniversary coverage documents a 2025 public appearance, but the available sources do not establish a complete current project list. Essence’s 2026 retrospective is a dated snapshot, not an exhaustive biography.
Coby Bell
Bell was one of the six performers named in Paramount’s announcement of the original principal cast. The available recent material does not establish a specific current role or project for him, so a more detailed present-day career update cannot be stated here without a dated, reliable source. Paramount’s cast announcement confirms his place in the original ensemble.
Rank #2
Pooch Hall
Hall played Derwin Davis, the San Diego Sabers wide receiver at the heart of the show’s football storyline. The 2026 Essence retrospective notes a 2025 public appearance; that establishes a recent public sighting, not a complete list of his current work.
Hosea Chanchez
Chanchez was part of the original principal cast and later returned as Malik Wright in the 2021 version of The Game. Paramount’s official catalog entry for the 2021 series lists him alongside returning cast member Wendy Raquel Robinson and newer performers. The sources here do not establish a fuller current project slate for Chanchez.
Rank #3
Brittany Daniel
Daniel was among the six principal performers named when Paramount announced the original cast. The available recent coverage does not establish a specific current role or project for her. That gap should not be filled with unverified biography or inferred from older credits. The 2008 Paramount announcement confirms her place in the original ensemble.
Wendy Raquel Robinson
Robinson played Tasha Mack, Derwin’s manager, and returned as Tasha in the 2021 version. The Paramount catalog identifies her among that version’s returning cast, and Essence’s 2026 retrospective notes a 2025 public appearance. Those facts document a return to the role and a recent appearance, rather than a comprehensive account of all her current work.

After The CW canceled the original series, BET continued it. Paramount reported that the BET premiere drew 7.7 million viewers on its premiere night in 2010. That is a historical figure reported by Paramount/BET, not a current audience measure. The network’s announcement gives the figure and its context.
The original series concluded its BET run in 2015. Paramount reported 3.7 million viewers for the finale’s premiere night; that, too, is a historical network-reported audience figure. Paramount’s finale announcement records it.

Who returned for the 2021 version?
The 2021 version was a later iteration with a changed ensemble, not a return of all six original principal performers. Paramount’s catalog lists Wendy Raquel Robinson as Tasha Mack and Hosea Chanchez as Malik Wright alongside newer cast members. It supports identifying those two as returning performers; it does not support saying the entire original cast reunited. The official catalog entry names the cast.
What the public record establishes
The original six are identifiable from Paramount’s cast announcement, and the show’s progression from The CW to BET and then to a 2021 version is documented by the networks and studio. For the present-day catch-up, the evidence is uneven: recent coverage records 2025 appearances for Mowry, Hall and Robinson, while the 2021 catalog confirms Robinson’s and Chanchez’s returns. Those are specific, dated facts—not a complete current biography of every performer.
