But the sources reviewed do not confirm where she lives now as her primary residence. Her 2021 “New York” home was reported to be in Tenafly, New Jersey—not New York City.
Does Cardi B live in New York or New Jersey?
In 2021, Cardi B said she and her husband had long wanted a home in New York and were adding one to their portfolio. She also said that, because of work, she was “everywhere” and wanted a home in her home city. That statement describes her reasons for buying a New York-area home at the time; it does not establish her current residence.

The sources reviewed do not verify current ownership, occupancy or market value. |
| Atlanta area | Architectural Digest reported that Cardi B and Offset bought the estate in 2019 for $5.8 million. What the reports say about each property
Tenafly: the home she called her New York home
Cardi B’s words and the reported location answer different questions: she described the home as being in New York, while local and real-estate coverage placed it in Tenafly, New Jersey. Univision reproduced her Spanish-language post: “Mi esposo y yo siempre hemos soñado con tener una cuna en Nueva York, y hemos decidido agregarla a nuestra cartera de hogares.” The outlet translated it as: “My husband and I have always dreamed of having a home in New York, and we have decided to add it to our portfolio of homes.” Univision also quoted her excitement about having a New York home for family get-togethers.
Homes & Gardens reproduced her explanation at the time: “These days I don’t just live one place, I’m everywhere due to my work. One thing for sure I needed a home in my home city of NY.” Its August 22, 2026 design feature discusses the home’s entryway, but does not verify that she occupies it now: Homes & Gardens.

Atlanta: purchase and transfer accounts do not align
Architectural Digest reported that Cardi B and Offset bought their Atlanta-area estate in 2019. Its account also relayed Cardi B’s complaint that she had no friends or family in Atlanta and cited a post indicating that she no longer wanted the house. Realtor.com describes the property as a gift from Offset and gives a different transfer chronology. Those accounts should not be combined into a definitive ownership timeline.
Architectural Digest attributed this explanation to Cardi B during an Instagram Live: “I don’t have not one friend in Atlanta, and I don’t have not even one family member in Atlanta,” followed by, “So I just don’t like Atlanta.” It is reported context for her feelings about the city, not a current statement about where she lives.

Las Terrenas: a reported birthday gift and investment interest
Architectural Digest reported that Offset gave Cardi B the Las Terrenas property in 2021. It quoted her saying she had wanted to invest in short-term rental homes in the Dominican Republic and other Caribbean countries. That expresses investment interest, but does not prove current ownership or that the property is currently operated or available as a rental. The same article noted Airbnb availability when it was published; availability can change.
The home for her mother
Architectural Digest reported that Cardi B bought her mother a home in 2018 and shared a tour of it. Cardi B said, “I’m emotional. I’m just happy that when my daughter visits her grandma’s house, she’s going to come here.” The report identifies this as her mother’s home, so it should not be counted as evidence of Cardi B’s own residence.

What can—and cannot—be concluded about where she lives now
- Public reports associate Cardi B with homes in Tenafly, the Atlanta area and Las Terrenas, as well as a home bought for her mother.
- The sources reviewed do not confirm a current primary residence.
- The 2021 “New York” home was reported to be in Tenafly, New Jersey.
- The Atlanta accounts conflict about the transfer chronology, and the reviewed reporting does not settle current ownership or sale status.
- A September 2025 Associated Press report said Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset in 2024. Relationship status alone does not establish property title, residence or transfer: The Associated Press.
For privacy and accuracy, city- and region-level descriptions are sufficient; a street address would not answer the question of her current primary residence.
