Where are the four younger stars now?
Lisa Whelchel (Blair Warner)
Whelchel’s work after the sitcom has included acting and hosting. A June 2026 entertainment roundup describes her career in those areas, but does not establish a complete list of current projects or her present residence.
#1 Best Overall
Mindy Cohn (Natalie Green)
Cohn has continued acting and voice work, including the well-known role of Velma in the Scooby-Doo franchise. Detailed credits in a recent roundup are a dated snapshot, not a complete accounting of her current work.
Kim Fields (Dorothy “Tootie” Ramsey)
Fields has worked as an actor, director and producer. A June 2026 roundup mentions her work on The Upshaws and House of Payne; those titles illustrate her post-series career, but do not establish a full slate of active projects.
Rank #2
Nancy McKeon (Jo Polniaczek)
McKeon continued to work in television after The Facts of Life. She later returned to acting after a period focused on raising her family. The available roundups do not provide a complete list of her current projects.
Charlotte Rae’s legacy as Edna Garrett
Rae played the school’s housemother, a defining adult presence in the series. Us Weekly records that she received a 1982 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on The Facts of Life. Because the death details in the opened roundup conflict with other references, this account does not give an age or date of death.
