Iain Armitage is still acting: in April 2026, he appeared as a guest star on CBS’s Ghosts. Since Young Sheldon ended in May 2024, public updates have also included a pilot’s license, arts-funding advocacy, and a reported casting in an unnamed poker movie. Those are dated career and interest updates—not confirmation of his current routine or private residence.
What is Iain Armitage doing now?
His most clearly documented post-finale screen credit in the available sources is a guest appearance on CBS’s Ghosts. The network announced Armitage for the episode “Woodstone Royale,” scheduled to air April 16, 2026. In the episode, he joins a high-stakes poker game. CBS’s announcement also identifies Paramount+ as a streaming option; access and catalogs can vary by region and change over time.

In an interview connected to the episode, Armitage said he had been cast in a gritty poker movie. The project is not named in the interview, which gives no distributor, release date, or production details. It should therefore be described as a reported casting, not as a known upcoming release. Us Weekly’s interview quotes him: “I just got cast in a pretty gritty poker movie and that’s why I am here — to do research.”
What happened after Young Sheldon ended?
May 2024: the series finale
Young Sheldon concluded after seven seasons in May 2024. Looking ahead, Armitage told CBS News, “I have no idea what’s next, and that’s kind of the most exciting thing about it.” In a Los Angeles Times interview around the finale, he reflected on the role’s ending: “At the end of the day, as much as I love it, and as fun as it has been, it is a job. And all jobs like this do come to an end. I’m looking forward to what happens next.” CBS News and the Los Angeles Times published those contemporaneous interviews.

July 2024: a first solo flight
TV Insider reported in 2025 that Armitage completed his first solo flight in July 2024 and obtained a pilot’s license. That report documents a personal milestone; it does not establish that he currently flies regularly or is pursuing aviation as a career. TV Insider’s report also describes his arts advocacy.
2025: advocacy for arts funding
According to the same TV Insider report, Armitage visited Congress with The Creative Coalition to advocate for arts funding. The report does not outline an ongoing schedule of advocacy work.

Is he returning as Sheldon in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage?
The sources cited here do not confirm a return as Sheldon in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. Armitage said in 2024 that he was interested in action or superhero roles and drama, and that his future was open. His later Ghosts guest appearance confirms another acting credit, but it does not establish a role in the spin-off.
Where does Iain Armitage live?
These public updates do not establish Armitage’s current residence or private address. The useful answer to “where is he now?” is about his public work and interests: a 2026 television guest role, a reported but unnamed film casting, and dated reports of aviation and arts advocacy.

Where to watch or revisit his work
CBS identified Paramount+ as a streaming option for the Ghosts episode; availability depends on the service’s current regional catalog and terms. For Young Sheldon, a 2024 television listing identified a DVD edition of Young Sheldon: The Complete Seventh Season. That listing confirms the format, not current retail stock. TV Guide’s 2024 DVD listing provides the format reference. Check current listings and regional availability before purchasing or streaming.
