IT: Welcome to Derry premiered on 26 October 2025 in the United States on HBO and HBO Max, and on 27 October 2025 in the United Kingdom on Sky and NOW. Both dates are in the past as of October 2026, so the series is already out rather than upcoming.
Premiere dates by market
The series did not launch on a single worldwide date. Each market received its own announcement, and the two dates below come from those separate announcements.
| Market | Premiere date | Service | Announced release pattern |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States | Sunday, 26 October 2025 | HBO and HBO Max | Eight episodes released weekly, with the finale on Sunday, 14 December 2025 (HBO announcement) |
| United Kingdom | Monday, 27 October 2025 | Sky and NOW | Eight episodes released weekly on Mondays (Sky announcement) |
The one-day difference is a matter of regional scheduling, not a conflict between the two dates. Treat each date as valid only for its own market. These announcements describe the original launch plan. They do not establish which services carry the series today, what subscription a viewer needs, or whether the title is available in every country.

Sky’s official announcement names the following actors as the starring cast:

Trailer and promotional copy
HBO announced the official trailer and key art on 23 September 2025. The official trailer is posted on HBO Max’s YouTube channel under the title “IT: Welcome to Derry | Official Trailer | HBO Max”, and its page states that the series premieres on 26 October. Watch that upload rather than an unofficial re-upload, since re-uploads can be edited or mislabelled.

Premise and creative team
Sky describes the series as set in Stephen King’s IT universe and based on King’s novel IT. It expands on the world established in Andy Muschietti’s films IT and IT Chapter Two. Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs developed the series for television, and Andy Muschietti directed multiple episodes. Readers who want the source material can start with King’s novel, which Sky identifies as the basis for the series.

- In the United Kingdom, search for the title on Sky and NOW using the same check.
- In any other country, consult that country’s local listings, since the 2025 announcements covered only the US and UK markets.
Catalog access, subscription requirements, and regional licensing change over time, and this guide does not verify them.
