HBO Max
HBO Max is the subscription service carrying the film in the U.S. CinemaBlend’s streaming listing, updated October 5, 2026, gives the July 10, 2026 HBO Max date and links to the service. TechRadar reported the same date on June 25, 2026, when it was confirmed in advance. The October listing is the more recent check, so it is the better basis for the current answer.
Hulu’s listing
Hulu’s own page for the film also lists The Long Walk, but it presents HBO Max as an add-on rather than as something included with a standard Hulu plan. Hulu’s listing says availability is limited to the U.S. and certain territories and notes that programming can change. If you already subscribe to Hulu, open the title page and confirm the access option shown before assuming you can watch it without an extra charge.
Rental, purchase, and discs
The film reached digital rental and purchase earlier than it reached subscription streaming. The distributor, Lionsgate, announced that digital rental and purchase began on October 21, 2025. The same announcement, reproduced by the When To Stream archive on October 14, 2025, set physical release dates. Those are past dates, and the prices quoted in that announcement were launch prices, so treat them as history rather than current pricing.

The 2025 film is an adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, directed by Francis Lawrence and written by JT Mollner. The official Stephen King site describes it as adapted from what the copy calls the author’s first-written novel. Its official tagline asks, “how far could you go?”
