Season 4 of The Bear has already aired. It premiered in June 2025, with the U.S. date set for June 25, 2025 on Hulu and the UK date set for June 26, 2025 on Disney+. The “FX boss update” in the headline refers to FX Chairman John Landgraf’s July 2, 2025 announcement that the series had been renewed for a fifth season. Disney has since confirmed that Season 5 is the show’s last.
When Season 4 premiered, and where
The premiere date depends on the territory and the service, so the answer should always name both. The two official sources available for Season 4 give different dates because they cover different markets, not because one is wrong.

What the FX boss said
On July 2, 2025, after Season 4 had debuted, FX announced it had renewed The Bear for Season 5. The announcement identifies John Landgraf as Chairman, FX. In it he said:
#1 Best Overall
- Collection: Four-disc DVD set with the entire Bear Archery Video Theater Collection.
- Contents: Features the life and adventures of Fred Bear.
- The Story of Fred Bear: Follows Fred and his fellow hunters around the globe.
- Bonus Material: Also includes a documentary on the bow hunting adventures of Art Young.
- Run Time: Over eight hours of rare or vintage footage.
“The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide and their response to this season — as seen through incredibly high viewership — has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons. Year-in and year-out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.”
Landgraf’s phrase “incredibly high viewership” is a description, not a measurement. The renewal announcement did not publish a viewership number, so none should be attributed to it.

Season 5 is the final season
Disney’s later announcement describes Season 5 as the fifth and final season of the series. It gives June 25, 2026 as the U.S. premiere date, with the season launching on FX and Hulu, and states that the series is available internationally on Disney+. That June 2026 date is the scheduled premiere confirmed in these announcements. For current episode availability and any later schedule changes, check FX or Hulu directly.

- U.S. viewers: Hulu is the service named for Seasons 4 and 5 in the official U.S. listings.
- International viewers: Disney+ is the service Disney names for international availability of the series. Catalog availability can vary by country, so confirm the season is listed in your region.
- Disney+ bundle access: Hulu’s help pages, updated in May 2026, say eligible Hulu subscribers can watch Hulu content inside Disney+. Some plan types are excluded from this, so confirm that your plan qualifies before relying on it.
If a season you expect to see is missing, the most likely causes are a regional catalog difference or a plan that does not include Hulu content within Disney+.
