As of October 8, 2026, no release date for Solo Leveling Season 3 has been announced. The most recent official continuation news is a theatrical film, Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, which Aniplex announced on July 4, 2026 as a continuation of Season 2. That announcement gives no premiere date, and it does not say whether a Season 3 will follow.
What is officially confirmed
- The theatrical film. Aniplex announced production of Solo Leveling: Beyond the System on July 4, 2026. The announcement calls the film the continuation of Season 2, says more information will follow, and gives no date.
- The film at Anime Expo 2026. Crunchyroll’s partner announcement, dated July 3, 2026, described the film as the next phase of Sung Jinwoo’s journey after Season 2 and said A-1 Pictures would return for animation production.
- The series timeline. Aniplex’s official series page lists the Japanese TV and streaming start as January 6, 2024, and names A-1 Pictures as the animation studio. Crunchyroll says the anime was announced at Anime Expo 2022, with Season 1 arriving in Winter 2024 and Season 2 in Winter 2025.
- The Season 2 title. The official Japanese source uses Arise from the Shadow for Season 2, and Crunchyroll uses the same English title.
Season 3 compared with the film
The two items are often confused in search results, so the table separates what has a date from what does not.
| Item | Status as of October 8, 2026 | Date given | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Season 3 | No official announcement of a premiere, format, or release window | Not stated | Aniplex and Crunchyroll |
| Solo Leveling: Beyond the System (theatrical film) | Production announced as a continuation of Season 2 | Not stated | Aniplex, July 4, 2026 |
| Season 1 | Japanese TV and streaming start | January 6, 2024 | Aniplex series page |
| Season 2 | Arrival season for the English-language release | Winter 2025 | Crunchyroll |
What the film announcement does and does not tell you
- Aniplex describes the film as a continuation of Season 2, not as Season 3.
- No premiere date, release window, distributor for every territory, or streaming platform has been given.
- The announcement does not say whether a Season 3 will be produced after the film.
- A film announcement should not be read as a Season 3 date.
What Crunchyroll has said about the next show
In a June 2026 report, GamesRadar quoted Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini: “Nothing to announce, but we are just as eager as the fans for the next show!” He added: “We know the creators are actively working on it, so hopefully we can announce something soon.”
That is an executive comment reported in June 2026. It is not a release schedule, and it does not name a season, a year, or a window.

Why year predictions are not supported
Some articles and forum posts name 2027 or 2028 as likely years for Season 3. None of the official material available as of October 8, 2026 supports those years, so treat them as speculation.
How to check for a confirmed date
- Check Aniplex’s official Solo Leveling series page for new listings or a linked announcement.
- Check Crunchyroll News for an official partner announcement with a stated season or date.
- Wait for a dated official announcement before accepting any premiere date, including dates shown in unofficial trackers.
Watching in the meantime
Aniplex’s catalog lists released Blu-ray and DVD volumes of the series, which is one way to rewatch Season 1. Check current stock before buying, since listings change. Streaming availability for Seasons 1 and 2 varies by country and can change, so confirm which platform carries the series in your region before subscribing.
