The Tailor of Sin City
This four-episode AMC+ docuseries follows AJ Pratt, a tailor whose story involves fashion, organized crime, and drug smuggling. The 2024 guide said episodes were set to arrive weekly from September 12 through October 2. Check AMC+ for current availability and episode access.
Science fiction and franchise adventure
Uglies
Netflix’s film adaptation of Scott Westerfeld’s 2005 young-adult novel imagines a society where cosmetic surgery is expected at age 16. The story follows Tally as she discovers that the changes go beyond appearance. The guide listed the film’s release as September 13, 2024; that date does not confirm it remains on Netflix. The Uglies novel is the book behind the adaptation.

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy
This Disney+ miniseries begins when Sig Greebling finds an artifact that changes the Star Wars universe. The guide described it as four short episodes, about 20 minutes each, released together on September 13, 2024. Its all-at-once format suits viewers looking for a brief franchise watch rather than a weekly series.
Action and suspense
Boy Kills World
The guide’s Hulu movie pick is a violent revenge-action film produced by Sam Raimi. It was listed as arriving September 13, 2024. If you want a lighter or less violent choice, consider one of the documentaries or the Star Wars miniseries instead.

Civil War
Alex Garland’s film follows photojournalist Lee and her colleagues as they travel toward Washington, D.C., during a second U.S. civil war. The 2024 guide listed it for Max on September 13. That is a historical platform listing, not confirmation of current availability.
A weekly drama rather than a one-night pick
The Old Man, season 2
For an ongoing thriller, the guide pointed to season two of The Old Man. Former CIA officer Dan Chase and former FBI official Harold Harper travel to Afghanistan to recover Chase’s adopted daughter. The source described the release pattern as Thursday-night broadcasts on FX followed by Hulu availability the next day; this schedule refers to 2024.
