Cruz Manuelos returns in Lioness Season 2, but not in the episodes documented at the start of the season. Paramount’s official photo captions identify Laysla De Oliveira as Cruz in Season 2, Episode 4, “Five Hundred Children,” and again in Episodes 7 and 8. The captions establish her presence by Episode 4; they do not identify her first scene or explain where she is in earlier episodes.
When does Cruz return in Lioness Season 2?
The earliest Season 2 episode in Paramount’s official photo archive that identifies De Oliveira as Cruz is Episode 4, “Five Hundred Children.” Captions for that episode place Cruz alongside Joe and the team. The archive also identifies her in Episode 7, “The Devil Has Aces,” and Episode 8, “The Compass Points Home,” including captions with Pablo Carrillo and Joe. Paramount Press Express’s Lioness photo archive documents those episode appearances.

This is evidence that Cruz is back by Episode 4, not proof that the episode contains her first on-screen moment. The captions do not specify a scene, timestamp, or what she is doing in the episodes before her documented return.
Why is Cruz’s return notable?
In Season 1, Joe trains Cruz, establishing her connection to the Lioness team. Paramount+’s official Lioness series listing includes that training in the Season 1, Episode 2 guide. The listing provides context for Cruz’s role, but does not explain the timing of her Season 2 return.

What is confirmed about the early Season 2 episodes?
Paramount+ lists Season 2, Episode 1 as “Beware the Old Soldier,” dated October 27, 2024, on its official episode page. That listing does not establish Cruz’s precise whereabouts in the earlier episodes. The available official captions support a limited conclusion: Cruz is identified in Episode 4 and appears in the archive’s captions for Episodes 7 and 8.
