FS1 reportedly canceled three shows in July 2025: Breakfast Ball, The Facility, and Speak. Front Office Sports reported the three names on July 14, 2025, and said Fox Sports declined to comment. The Associated Press later reported that the network had canceled three shows earlier that week, but its July 17 report did not name them. No Fox Sports statement naming all three shows or explaining the decision has been found in the coverage reviewed for this article, so the cancellations should be treated as reported rather than officially announced.
Which shows were reported as canceled
Breakfast Ball and The Facility were FS1 morning programs. Speak was a talk show. Front Office Sports described the cancellations as affecting three of FS1’s five daily shows. That five-show count is how the outlet described the daily lineup at the time, not a verified schedule count for any later date.
| Show | Format, as reported in 2025 | Named in July 2025 cancellation reports | On the current FOX Sports show listing (October 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Breakfast Ball | FS1 morning program | Yes, by Front Office Sports | No |
| The Facility | FS1 morning program | Yes, by Front Office Sports | No |
| Speak | Talk show | Yes, by Front Office Sports | No |
The current listing is a snapshot of what FOX Sports displays, not a formal cancellation notice. It is consistent with the three shows having left the schedule, but it does not give a date or reason.
What the two reports establish
The reporting rests on two separate accounts. Front Office Sports supplied the show names and the July 14, 2025 date. The Associated Press, in its July 17, 2025 report, confirmed the timing and scale: three shows had been canceled earlier that week. The AP piece did not identify them, so the names rest on the Front Office Sports reporting alone.

The Barstool Sports shift that surrounded the cancellations
The cancellations came during a wider change to FS1’s daytime lineup. According to the Associated Press, Fox Sports had partnered with Barstool Sports, and Barstool programming would appear on FS1. The partnership included a live two-hour weekday morning show, with a launch date that was to be announced. Coverage of the cancellations and coverage of the Barstool deal are separate stories, and the reporting does not tie one directly to the other.
In a statement cited by the Associated Press in July 2025, Fox Sports CEO and executive producer Eric Shanks described the partnership this way: “Their unique voice and loyal fanbase makes them a natural fit for our evolving multiplatform content strategy.” The statement concerns the Barstool partnership. It does not address why the three shows were removed.

Fox Corporation’s disclosures
Fox Corporation’s fiscal 2026 annual report describes FS1 as carrying daily studio shows and Barstool programming. It does not name Breakfast Ball, The Facility, or Speak, and it does not explain their removal. Its programming and viewing figures cover the company as a whole and are not show-specific, so they cannot be used to explain the cancellations.

What has not been established
- An official rationale. No Fox Sports statement giving a reason was found in the coverage reviewed. Fox Sports declined to comment to Front Office Sports at the time of that report.
- Show-specific ratings. No ratings figures for the three programs were found, so reports that low viewership drove the decisions are not confirmed.
- Personnel causes. Reports of executive departures or other internal changes are not established by the sources reviewed as the reason for these cancellations.
- Exact end dates. The reporting places the decisions in the week of July 14, 2025, but does not give a final airdate for each show.
Portnoy and Big Noon Kickoff in October 2026
A separate, later story involves Barstool founder David Portnoy. The Associated Press reported in October 2026 that Portnoy had been removed from Big Noon Kickoff appearances. Portnoy posted a response that the AP quoted: “Juice wasn’t worth the squeeze and frankly I don’t blame them. Huge dollars at stake and you have Cryin Ryan throwing temper tantrums and making threats every few days on something I said.”
That statement concerns the October 2026 decision about his appearances. It is not a comment on the July 2025 cancellations of Breakfast Ball, The Facility, or Speak, and the two stories should not be read as one event.
