The blank, pale mask is most likely from Halloween (1978), worn by Michael Myers. If you’re picturing a long, anguished face under a black hood, you mean Ghostface from Scream.
How to tell which white mask you mean

The phrase itself can cause confusion: in Kevin Williamson’s Scream screenplay, a character describes Halloween as the film with “the guy with the white mask,” then names Michael Myers. Read the screenplay PDF.
Why Michael Myers’s mask looks so simple
The original Halloween mask was a modified William Shatner mask depicting Captain Kirk. The production altered its hair, widened the eye holes and painted it pale blue; AFI describes the resulting mask as ghostly white. It was not simply used unchanged as a Star Trek mask. AFI Catalog: Halloween
That restrained, humanlike appearance is the quickest visual clue if you are trying to identify the film from memory. Ghostface, by contrast, has a visibly exaggerated, anguished expression and is paired with a hooded robe.
