Who won Food Network Star?
Food Network’s Past Seasons archive lists winners from the show’s 14-season run. There were two seasons with co-winners, so the winner count is not simply one person for each season: season 1 crowned Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh, while season 14 crowned Christian Petroni and Jess Tom.
Food Network’s finale retrospective records the early co-winners. In 2018, the network described Petroni and Jessica Tom as the first pair of co-winners in the show’s 14-season history. Its interview with the two winners and a Warner Bros. Discovery Pressroom release document that result.
What did former winners do after the show?
A 2025 Chowhound roundup of ten champions describes several kinds of post-show careers. The profiles below reflect what that article reported; they should not be read as confirmation of each person’s current schedule, business status, or latest projects.

What is known about the other winners?
The Food Network archive and finale retrospective help establish winner identities and historical outcomes, but they do not provide a current career update for every champion. The 2025 roundup covers ten people, not the entire winner list. In particular, the sources cited here do not establish Jess Tom’s current career, and they do not support a reliable present-day profile for every earlier winner.
That means “where are they now?” has a partial answer: the documented paths include individual series, recurring network work, restaurants and food products, events and classes, and publishing. The sources do not provide a shared measure for comparing those unlike careers, so they cannot establish which winner was the “most successful.”
