Spoilers for Sally Face, including an optional Episode 5 scene. Sal Fisher’s face was severely injured in a childhood attack, and he wears a prosthetic face afterward. Secondary story guides connect the attack to his mother’s death; one says an optional Episode 5 scene shows the gunshot that injured him.
Why does Sal wear a prosthetic face?
Sal’s face covering is a prosthetic, not simply a costume mask. Xbox Wire’s creator-authored description of Sally Face introduces him as “a boy with a prosthetic face.” The description establishes the prosthetic as part of the game’s premise, though it does not explain the precise mechanics of his injury. Xbox Wire’s 2022 account also describes Sal using a handheld game system to communicate with the dead and investigate mysteries with friends.
How was Sal’s face injured?
A character profile from Sally Face Guide connects the prosthetic to damaged areas caused by a childhood attack and links that event to Sal’s mother. The guide’s account makes the attack the explanation for why he needs the prosthetic, but it is a secondary source rather than a creator statement. The Sal Fisher character profile gives that story context.
What does the optional Episode 5 scene show?
A Sally Face Wiki guide, dated August 21, 2026, reports that an optional scene unlocked through a puzzle shows an attacker firing while Sal’s mother protects him. The guide identifies the gunshot as the injury behind his prosthetic. Because this account comes from a secondary guide, it is best understood as that guide’s description of the scene, not as a direct explanation from the game’s creator. What is established about Sal’s uncovered face?
The cited accounts support that Sal suffered a severe facial injury and wears a prosthetic. They do not establish every anatomical detail of what his face looks like without it, so descriptions beyond that would go further than these sources support.
