The original Below Deck Mediterranean crew took different paths after Season 1: several continued working on yachts, while others pursued business, family life or television. Bravo’s direct cast updates describe what some crew members were doing in 2016; later developments are reported in a 2025 retrospective, so those updates should not be mistaken for a live account of everyone’s current work.
What happened to the Season 1 crew?
Bravo published a post-season cast update on July 26, 2016. The crew’s comments below are a snapshot from that time, not a description of their lives today. A 2025 retrospective adds later updates, but it is a secondary source and some of its claims rely on social-media material.
| Crew member | What they said or were doing after Season 1 | Later update reported in 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| Captain Mark Howard | In Bravo’s 2016 interview, Mark said he was working on another Mediterranean yacht, a private vessel that did not charter. He said it was about the same size as the Ionian Princess, and that he stayed in touch with several castmates. | The 2025 retrospective reports that Mark died in 2021.
