Victor Williams continued acting after playing Deacon Palmer on The King of Queens, working in television, film and theater. In a 2023 interview, he discussed his role in Justified: City Primeval and how the sitcom helped him develop skills he later used in dramatic work. The available sources document his career through that interview and credits listings, but do not confirm a specific project he is working on in 2026.
What did Victor Williams do after The King of Queens?
Williams built a varied acting career after the sitcom, with television appearances and recurring roles, films, and stage work. His official résumé lists credits including The Affair, Sneaky Pete, People of Earth, High Maintenance, The Good Wife, The Blacklist, The Leftovers, The Michael J. Fox Show and NYC 22. It also names films such as November Criminals, Trouble, Hungry Hearts, Home and Bewitched, along with New York and regional theater credits. The résumé is a representative list, not necessarily a complete or current filmography.
Williams’s official biography says he began his professional career in May 1995 after earning an MFA from NYU Tisch, and that The King of Queens kept him working in Hollywood for nine years. Because the biography is undated, those details are best understood as his own account of his career.
His later television work included Justified: City Primeval
One clearly documented later role is Williams’s appearance as a Detroit police officer in Justified: City Primeval. In a Casting Networks interview published December 18, 2023, he spoke about moving between comedy and drama and said that his sitcom experience helped prepare him for dramatic roles.

“I don’t know if I could have booked a show like that if I hadn’t had a certain sense of comedy that I learned from working on King of Queens,” Williams told interviewer Neil Turitz. In the same interview, he described his career as steady: “I’ve been very fortunate to have worked steadily for the last nearly 30 years.” That is Williams’s personal description, rather than an independently measured statistic.
Other listings offer additional snapshots, not a complete timeline. Apple TV’s Victor Williams catalog lists selected appearances including The Neighborhood, Blue Bloods, The Leftovers and Fringe. BroadwayWorld’s profile lists a 2025 Off-Broadway credit for Amerikin and notes his NAACP Image Award nomination for his sitcom role.

He reunited with the cast, but the show did not return
In March 2021, Williams took part in a reunion interview with fellow King of Queens cast members, reminiscing about the series. Access Hollywood’s coverage describes the program as a nine-season series and the gathering as a reunion 14 years after it ended. The interview documents a cast reunion, not a reboot or a new season.

The dated evidence shows that Williams was still working as an actor in the years after The King of Queens: his 2023 interview discussed Justified: City Primeval, and BroadwayWorld lists a 2025 stage credit. His résumé also records a broad range of earlier work. These sources do not establish a particular booking or production for 2026, so it would be inaccurate to describe any past role as something he is currently filming.
